The City of Hull
Hull City Council’s Wilberforce 2007 team are delighted to welcome you to Walking with Wilberforce, created to mark the 200th anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act.
One of Yorkshire’s key cities, Hull has transformed itself over the last five years. Located on the banks of the River Humber the waterfront city has a vibrant mix of culture, shopping and nightlife. There are eight free museums, The Deep, Hull Truck Theatre, waterfront shopping and over 180 places to eat and drink, all awaiting to be discovered when you have ‘Walked with Wilberforce’.
Following in William Wilberforce’s footsteps, the City of Hull is asking you to add your support to the Fight for Freedom campaign at www.wilberforce2007.com, to lobby for the eradication of modern day slavery.
Welcome to Hull’s ‘Walking with Wilberforce’ Trail.
